Dear Angad,
I have your letter received by me early morning on New Year’s day. I am penning these lines in the evening before retiring. I fancy that I wrote to you some time ago. Your letter just represents you as I have known you. Of course it is good you have returned to your old love. We shall all be glad to greet you back, even if it be for a short time, if you do succeed in coming this side.
Agatha is in India. I hope to see her soon.
With love & all good wishes.
BAPU
The letter bears this postscript by Amrit Kaur: “I gave your news to Bapu and he was so glad to have it. I do hope your passport will soon be forthcoming.”
