Subject: [Hc-allstudents] HC Strike Day 13 Update
To: hc-allstudents
Hi everyone,
As we move forward on the 13th day of the strike, the following will summarize the organizers' standing on how well
Wendy Raymond has responded thus far. Today we will be meeting with her and senior staff to ideally finish
negotiations on the demands and call an end to the strike, if our concerns have been adequately addressed.
Summary of Standing
1. Indigenous Communities - Demand met
2. CDO - Demand met with Qualifications
3. Election Day - Demand met
4. Academic Leniency for BIPOC/FGLI Students - Demand met with Qualifications
5. Support Student Participation in Direct Action -Demand not met, but we can move on.

Finally, although this fight is within the walls of an elite academic institution, remember that this fight is ushered by
working-class BIPOC everyday on the ground. Continue to show up, uplift and fight for the communities most
marginalized by oppressive, settler-colonial structures.
To BIPOC in particular, bringing up the sentiments from Fred Moten’s and Nia Love’s teach-in yesterday, there is a
general strike enacted by and in our bodies everyday. In Moten’s words, “the strike’s not gonna end; it’s just gonna
transform about how we believe in each other - how we contribute to our own social aid and pleasure.”
Best,
The Organizers
