Geology field trip
Six students pictured on a path by a hillside on a geology field trip. They wear jeans and blouses with rolled up sleeves. Three have hard hats with headlights affixed; the other three are bareheaded. Two of the students crouch together to consult a folded-out document, possibly a map. One hammers a rock on the ground, while another leans up against a rock face while she hammers. The other two sit against the rock face to consult an unidentified device. A note on the back of the photograph specifies that the geology professor (not pictured) was Dr. Edward H Watson.
