Letter from M. Carey Thomas to Mary Elizabeth Garrett, August 04, 1891
M. Carey Thomas writes to Mary Garrett about her recent trip from Baltimore to Bryn Mawr to visit the new science labs and then from Bryn Mawr to Boston to visit Harvard. From there, she travels to Bar Harbor, Maine for vacation. Thomas writes about her resort and the social world of Bar Harbor. Thomas writes about the business of the medical school committee, including new donations and the debate about whether to appoint women doctors at the new hospital. Finally, she apologizes for being unkind in previous letters and wishes Mary better health.
