Letter from Mary Elizabeth Garrett to M. Carey Thomas, August 13, 1893
Mary Garrett defends herself against an accusation that she has neglected to pay her debts, insisting that according to the correct agreement, payments are not to start until January 1894. She then writes of her health, and asks Thomas about hers, and writes about her excitement over finding grapes at the store.
